MyChapterRoom.com stemmed from spending countless hours in meetings, using phone chains, and on email and listserves trying to communicate with my sisters. I became an Alpha Chi Omega at Syracuse University in 1992 . In 1997, I began advising a new chapter at Quinnipiac University and have been chapter advisor there for more than ten years. After four years of advising, I knew there had to be something to make communication easier among so many women. I wanted them to concentrate on sisterhood and the fun times that come from being involved in a sorority- and MyChapterRoom.com was born.
I wanted chapters to have a secure and private place for their discussions and the more I thought, the more I realized the multitude of tasks that can be accomplished through the internet- and those things are always changing and growing, just like your chapter. After 16 years of being a sorority woman, I’ve learned how important it is to balance business and fun and I hope that I have created a product that allows for that.
Sincerely,
Penny Zamkov
